Frenchman Noa Essengue (20 pts) hits the screen against the Blazers • Basket USA

After Killian Hayes then Pacôme Dadiet, Noah Essengue (2m06, 17 years old) chose Ulm to complete his training, and give himself the maximum chance of joining the NBA. At 17, it’s cheeky, and the young French interior amazed NBA scouts last night with 20 points (20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 interceptions) against… the Blazers! Under his leadership, the German club lost by only 11 points (111-100).

Bronze medalist at EuroBasket U16 2022, Noa Essengue had already struck very hard in February by finishing MVP of the ANGT in Dubai, already with Ulm. In the EuroCup, the young power forward averages 12.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 25 minutes after four matches. He absolutely has the best evaluation of his team!

Less rated than Nolan Traoré, he still appears in the Top 20 of ESPN’s 2025 Mock Draft. Like Victor Wembanyama in 2022 and Alexandre Sarr in 2023, he could take advantage of this exposure across the Atlantic to climb the “mock draft”.

Same observation for the Israeli Ben Saraf (1m95, 18 years old), author of 11 of his 16 points in the first half. Revelation of the U18 Euro this summer, he had accumulated 28.1 points, 5.3 assists and 5 rebounds in seven matches. Enough to win the MVP trophy. In four EuroCup matches, he averages 14.5 points and 6 assists.
