GARDAI have issued a public appeal to help locate a 15-year-old girl who has been missing since Saturday.

Jacinta Donoghue was last seen in the early hours of Saturday May 18 in Listowel, County Kerry.

The teenager is described as being approximately 5 foot 5 inches in height.

She has a slim build and black hair.

It is not known what Jacinta was wearing when she went missing.

The 15-year-old is known to frequent Limerick City.

She is also known to frequent Charleville in Cork.

A Garda informed anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact them.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: “Anyone with any information on Jacinta’s whereabouts is asked to contact Listowel Garda Station on 068 50820.”

‘Concerned’ Gardai renew urgent appeal in hunt for missing Longford man, 79, as footage of latest movements released

The appeal comes after Gardaí renewed their appeal for missing pensioner Peter Bohan from Longford.

The 79-year-old has been missing for the past week.

He was last seen leaving his home in Cloonellan, Drumlish at around 1pm on Sunday May 12.

The renewed appeal comes as his family and Gardaí grow increasingly “concerned” for his welfare.

He is described as being 5 foot 9 inches in height and having a slim build with brown/grey hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue knitted jumper and dark pants.

He was also wearing a dark baseball cap with a red peak.

CCTV footage of Peter leaving his home as was released in an effort to aid the search.

Gardaí in Longford appealed: “We are seeking your help in tracing the whereabouts of 79-year-old Peter Bohan who was last seen in Drumlish, Co. Longford shortly before 1pm on Sunday.”

Sniffer dogs and drones were deployed earlier this week in a multi-agency search for the 79-year-old.

Members of the civil defense and the Garda air unit were also involved.

Gardaí are urging anyone who may have information on the man’s whereabouts or may have seen him leaving his home to contact them.

A spokesperson said: “Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have observed Peter walking in the vicinity of his home in Cloonellan and Drumlish on Sunday, 12th May 2024 to contact them.”

They added: “Gardai and Peter’s family are concerned for his welfare.”
