Finistère was placed on yellow alert for floods this Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Two rivers will be closely monitored in the coming days: the Odet and the Aulne, particularly in Quimper and Port-Launay.
In its latest bulletin, Vigicrues, the information service on the risk of flooding in France, considers that “this event is strictly maritime and corresponds to the first overflows which are expected this Wednesday, October 16 in the evening, linked to the high tides of October.” This episode is expected to run from Wednesday evening through this weekend.

The maximum tidal coefficient is expected this Friday October 18, at 112 with slight surges announced. For the moment, the precipitation expected over the coming days in Brittany should not cause riverine reactions. »
As always in such cases, the situation is evolving. The population is invited to keep informed, in particular by consulting the forecasts online on the Météo France website: www.vigilance.meteofrance.fr.
