After being blocked by his club last summer when he wanted to join Olympique de Marseille, Paulo Fonseca finds himself at the end of his contract at the end of May. Courted by the Marseille club as well as AC Milan, the LOSC coach is therefore spoiled for choice for his future. Asked about this this Saturday afternoon at a pre-match press conference, on the eve of the reception of OGC Nice on behalf of the 34th and final day of Ligue 1, the Portuguese decided to play it sincere.

“For my future, we will see. Having the possibility of playing in the Champions League is important but I have other things to think about when making my decision” confided the 51-year-old coach. “I will decide after the last match but I have to think about it carefully, talk about it with my managers, my agent and my family to make the best decision” he continued.

A possible extension?

According to the latest leaks, Olympique de Marseille have submitted a contract offer to Paulo Fonseca, who however wishes to play in a European competition next season. “I have to be honest: it is important for me to play in the Champions League but I also have other things to think about. I have to decide also with the other possibilities. Whether it is here or another place, I also want progress in my career” replied the Mastiffs coach. So the message got through.
