‘Fact checker’ Britt Van Marsenille moves to the other side of the world with his Heusden man (Heusden-Zolder)

Britt Van Marsenille (44) says he has already moved 23 times. But her next home is about 8,800 kilometers outside Belgium. The presenter heads to Panama, together with her husband Frederik from Heusden-Zolder, who has roots in the Central American country.

“I think I have moved about 23 times since I was eighteen,” Van Marsenille writes on Instagram. “I can now get the most Tetris-wise in a box. A talent that sometimes comes in handy in the supermarket, when loading the shopping bags. But this move is of a different order. The idea is not to get the maximum in a box, but only to put the minimum in it. Just pack the essentials.”

Van Marsenille is now familiar with the passage between Central and South America. On her social media she devotes an entire series of photos to her visits to Panama. Now she is officially going to live there. She has been married to her partner Frederik from Heusden-Zolder since 2022, who has roots in Panama. Just like Britt, her husband from Limburg also works in the TV world: in the past he worked as a producer and editor at Koeken Troef!, the production house of Bart De Pauw. He currently works as a freelancer for the VRT.

Earlier this year, Van Marsenille put her apartment in the heart of Antwerp up for sale. What the move means for her work at VRT, where she works, among other things Factcheckers presents is not yet clear. (dvg/ansm)
