Friday May 17, the Israeli army revealed that it had found three bodies of Israeli hostages in Gaza, according to the Associated Press news agency. They were recovered during a joint operation by the army and the services of information. This discovery was made after interviewing terrorists arrested in the Gaza Strip.

The body of Shani Louk, a young German-Israeli woman aged 22 at the time of the events, who was participating in Nova, an electronic music festival, on October 7, 2023, was found. The bodies of Amit Buskila and Itzhak Gelerenter, aged 27 and 56 respectively, were also found. Daniel Hagari, rear admiral of the Hebrew State Army, confides that Amit Buskila and Itzhak Gelerenter were also at the festival site. The three people were identified at the Israeli National Institute of Forensic Medicine.

“This terrible loss is heartbreaking, we cry with the families”, wrote Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Prime Minister, on Telegram. The leader continued his message by promising to bring back “all the hostages, the living and the dead”.
