A truck full of eggs overturned on Highway 20 in Drummondville.

A truck overturned on Highway 20 near Drummondville, causing thousands of eggs to spill around the roadway.

The accident happened around 3:10 p.m. Thursday.

A large quantity of eggs was spilled.

The driver suffered minor injuries, according to the Sûreté du Québec.

Around 8:30 p.m., according to the Ministry of Transport website, one lane of Highway 20 was still closed westbound at km 179, near René-Lévesque Boulevard. Significant slowdowns were expected in the sector.
