Actress Sophie Turner, separated from singer Joe Jonas since 2023, with whom she had two daughters, Willa (2020) and Delphine (2022), recently spoke about how she received her first pregnancy, at 24 years, and all the thoughts that this news had brought to light.

Thus, she confided to the British version of Vogue magazine, this Wednesday, May 15, 2024, that she did not feel ready, at the time, to welcome a child into her life. “Maybe because I was young, I was in denial for a week,” the “Game of Thrones” star, now 28, said.

Especially since the young woman was on retreat in Bali when she took a pregnancy test which came back positive. She remembers returning from this trip full of doubts, which she immediately shared with Joe Jonas and which she was able to expose to professionals. “Fortunately, there were therapists to help me talk about it. (…) I gave him (Joe Jonas; editor’s note) the pregnancy test and said: ‘What do you think we should do? Do you think we should have him (his first child; editor’s note)?'” she recalled. “When you’re in your twenties, life is so frivolous. At that time, I didn’t know if I wanted to be a mother, but something changed in me that day, I knew I had to. ‘to have,’ she assured.

Two years later, Sophie Turner became a mother for the second time. “Because my ex and I travel a lot, I wanted Willa to have a brother or a sister,” she explained. He continued: “I wanted them to be together. They are so much fun, real little girls and absolute rays of sunshine in my life.”

Crucial support for the actress, who claimed to have had a very difficult time with her separation from Joe Jonas: “There were days when I didn’t know if I was going to get through it. I called my lawyer to tell him : “I can not do that. I just can’t,” she said. “I was never strong enough to stand up for myself. And then, finally, after two weeks of inaction, she reminded me that it was for my children that I was fighting.” And Turner concluded: “As soon as someone says to me: ‘Do it for your children”, I do. I wouldn’t do it for myself, but I will find the strength for them.”

Since her separation, Sophie Turner has been at the heart of numerous rumors and waves of harassment. Her role as a mother has been widely criticized. She was notably singled out for having been far from her family, filming in Great Britain, while her husband (the divorce proceedings are still ongoing) took care of their daughters despite his concerts. Since her divorce, the actress has returned to the United Kingdom, where she is originally from: “Now that I’m back home, I’ve never been happier in a very long time. I’m starting from scratch, I’m rediscovering this what I like to do, who I like to be with.” She would also have found love in the arms of the British Peregrine Pearson, who is notably the son of a viscount. A liberating new beginning.
