To improve efficiency and secure food supplies, the Taiwan Technical Mission (Republic of China) of the International Cooperation and Development Fund (Taiwan ICDF) is collaborating with Haitian farmers, promoting mechanization to facilitate agriculture and food processing.

In the Grison-Garde region (North Dept.) the Taiwan Technical Mission (MTT) introduced tillers and trained operators, enabling the local farmers’ organization to provide plowing services on 35 hectares per season.

This Taiwan initiative has significantly improved the efficiency of land preparation and rice production in Haiti.

MTT has also introduced rice winnowing machines (up to 500 kg per hour) and rice mills (processing capacity of 400 kg per hour). This equipment allows Haitian farmers to process their crops locally, reducing time and financial costs while increasing productivity.

These efforts not only strengthen Haiti’s rice industry, but also illustrate the Taiwan Technical Mission’s commitment to modernizing Haiti’s agriculture by helping farmers achieve greater success and bringing Haiti a better future .
