Two days after his escape, Mohamed Amra and his accomplices are still on the run. The one nicknamed “The Fly” escaped after the deadly attack on a prison convoy which left two dead and three injured on Tuesday. And the hunt is now international since a red notice has been issued by Interpol.

The hunt for Mohamed Amra and his accomplices continues this Thursday morning. On Tuesday, two prison administration officers were killed and three others seriously injured at the Incarville tollbooth, in Eure, during the attack on the van which was transporting the inmate.

On Wednesday, a red notice was issued at the request of the French police. The goal is to allow investigators to locate Mohamed Amra with the help of foreign authorities. Concretely, almost all the police in the world are now alerted.

A possible flight abroad?

The borders will in particular be particularly monitored, in case he has managed to take refuge in another country. Like Spain for example, where he is suspected of having ties linked to drug trafficking. With this red notice, foreign police are then authorized to arrest him pending his extradition.

At the same time, judicial police investigators are continuing their research on French soil. The relationships of the five fugitives are closely monitored. Their families and friends, for example, who could be wiretapped. And then, their links with other cases, other offenders are also studied. With one major objective, determining who they could turn to to help them in their escape.
