“To avoid losing your health while taking care of that of others ” is the credo launched by the Handialogue organization in partnership with the Disabled and Chronic Liaison Committee, CLCPH de l’Hérault for this day of Thursday October 17 which will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the village hall (at side of the blue room).
From 2 p.m., Daniel Briand, president of the CLCPH de l’Hérault, will host a round table on “The inventory of new provisions of caregivers’ rights”. Then Pascal Doriguzzi will talk about “The pressure of the cared for, the depression of the carer” and Gérard Despess from France Alzheimer will address the theme of caring for the cared for with Alzheimer’s disease. Just as important, Florence Bourles will talk about caregiver burnout, analysis and advice from France Dépression.
At 3:30 p.m., a debate hosted by Radio Aviva will allow discussions between family caregivers, professional caregivers, and those being cared for. Without forgetting the institutions involved and the associations, the objective is announced: “Write a manifesto of proposals in order to move the lines of support and recognition for family and professional caregivers“. The closing will take place around tea and coffee with buns from the National Union of Associations of Parents of Maladjusted Children.
