Daniel Picouly, Nathalie Saint-Cricq, Périco Légasse, Patrice Duhamel… The names of the guests of the first edition of the À Hauteur de mots festival suggest the best for the Pentecost weekend.

At Height of Words offers more than just meetings with guest authors. Readings, shows and events dedicated to young audiences punctuate these three days. With twenty-eight events scheduled at the Vodanum hall, in Rochecorbon, and under a marquee installed next to the hall, especially for young spectators, the first edition of À Hauteur de mots is ambitious.

The word in all its forms

” My desire, explains the founder and director of the festival Christiane Perez, was to bring together writers and artists from diverse backgrounds around the different registers of the word, written, read, sung or declaimed. » Thus, the festival is interested “to the Word in all its forms, in all universes, as well in literature as in theater, in poetry, slam, humor or French song”.

Christiane Perez, who is from Tours and studied languages at the University of Tours, has been thinking about setting up this project for several years. “In Paris, I worked in publishing and I had the idea of creating an event where the word would be the common thread. »
