A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Narbonne-Plage this Saturday, October 12.
A tragedy occurred again on departmental road 168 which connects Narbonne to Narbonne-Plage, 2 km from the seaside resort at around 5:30 p.m. this Saturday, October 12. This accident caused one victim, a motorcyclist. A car is involved, but the circumstances have not yet been determined. The SDIS ambulance, a road emergency vehicle, and the road units were present on site, coordinated by the group leader.
SAMU was dispatched to the scene. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was in cardioventilatory arrest at the time of the emergency intervention and the rescuers were unable to save him.
The occupants of the car were shocked but unhurt.
The gendarmes and municipal police officers to allow the firefighters and doctors to work, cut the road in both directions, making a diversion via Gruissan to reach Narbonne-Plage. This road is unfortunately known to be very accident-prone.
