The La plage pour tous collective is organizing a fourth walk, Saturday May 18, 2024, at 6 p.m., on Rosaires beach, in Plérin (Côtes-d’Armor).

This new mobilization follows the municipality’s decision to issue an order prohibiting access to its beaches for dogs and horses, from June 15 to September 15. The announcement was confirmed by the municipal council on Monday May 13, 2024.

The town hall’s solution considered “abrupt”

For Marine, a member of the collective, this solution “is abrupt. People do not understand the origin of the contamination, the location, the extent, etc. We have the proposal to put back the poop bags, an explanatory panel with a QR code for those who would like to learn more. For horses, we could provide airtight and covered manure bins, for example”.

Continuity of action

Another representative of the collective, Sandra, specifies that “we are continuing our actions to maintain the decree that currently exists (with restricted but daily access to dogs and horses). We want a public meeting between elected officials and our collective”. Dog and horse owners are invited to gather at the bottom of the esplanade, the collective suggests bringing shovels and poop bags.

Saturday May 18, 2024, at 6 p.m., gathering on the Esplanade des Rosaires, in Plérin.
