Between heat and coolness, atmospheric instability is in full swing in recent days. After a remarkably summery bridge on May 8 and Ascension, a cold drop phenomenon has taken hold since the beginning of the week over a large part of France, thus making the atmospheric layers unstable again.

Despite heavier rainfall this week, temperatures will start to rise slightly again this Wednesday, increasing the risk of storms. Consequently, from 4 p.m. this Wednesday, May 15, Météo-France has placed the Ardennes and the Marne on yellow alert. A vigilance which will extend until Thursday.

After two particularly violent stormy episodes in Aisne, the department will apparently be spared from thunderclaps in the coming days. On the other hand, significant rain is expected during the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The Aisne department is therefore placed on yellow “rain flood” alert.
