The reopening of the part of the A13 still closed to traffic in the Paris-Province direction is expected by mid-June. An estimated date but far from being set in stone…

Like the construction of buildings where the reliability of the completion date given in advance is not, far from it, always respected, that of the reopening of the A13 in the direction Paris- Province could be moved back after June. Even the Ile-de-France Roads Department (DiRIF) is very cautious on this hot topic, declaring in particular on its official website: “In the Paris-Province direction, a new complete update was carried out regarding the planned repairs and the rehabilitation of the hydraulic structure located under the highway (…) Taking into account the forecast schedule, a prospect of reopening to traffic is envisaged at the end of June.” Perspective, envisaged, provisional timetable… an exacerbated caution in the choice of words which would almost already betray an admission of delay in ignition. Especially since last week, the date given for reopening was mid-June and not the end June…

Heavyweights still three-carded

In the meantime, work is being undertaken by the Hauts-de-Seine Departmental Council, involving in particular an opening of the roadway to a depth of almost 5 meters. It will also be noted that if the A13 has reopened in the Province-Paris direction, it is once again authorized for traffic only for light vehicles on a single lane, and still prohibited for heavy goods vehicles. Finally, let’s remember that State services have been taking 50% of the A14 toll for carpoolers (€5.40 instead of €10.60) since May 6. This system applies to light vehicles carrying at least 2 passengers and is valid during rush hours, from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Province-Paris direction and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Paris-Province direction, from Monday to Friday (excluding days public holidays, until the sections reopen).
