NANCY. A gas leak was detected this Tuesday, May 14 in Nancy. Rue Saint Julien was closed to automobile and pedestrian traffic.


A gas leak on a pipe, undoubtedly the consequence of work in the sector, was detected today before 2:30 p.m. in Nancy at the intersection of rue des Dominicains, rue du Pont-Mouja and rue Saint-Georges.

An emergency which immediately required the arrival of firefighters, agents from GRTgaz, GRDF as well as the police.

To avoid any risk, a security perimeter has been deployed. Traffic on this axis is currently prohibited for vehicles and pedestrians, informs the Nancy municipal police.

In a press release the City of Nancy informs that following the gas leak “the affected people were able to return to their homes. The sector was secured and gas returned to each home thanks to a diversion from another pipe“. Work will continue tomorrow.
