What to do in this weekend from October 11 to 13?

Climbing, street art, cinema… Capital has put together a list of five activities not to be missed this weekend from October 11 to 13.

A completely free climbing session

Free climbing for all students! Since October 7 and until this Sunday, Climb Up has actually opened its doors for free in one of its 31 rooms in . The opportunity for the curious, beginners or experienced who have never climbed Climb Up to come and discover this practice. Be careful not to forget your valid proof, required to be able to participate.

An international theater festival

The Contre- festival (formerly Sens Interdits) begins its second edition, Saturday October 12, and will continue until October 26. For this opening day, several highlights are on the program, with the common thread “forms of popular and cultural resistance“. The Mimoun and Zatopek show will be accompanied by workshops, debates or even a web radio throughout the day to meet the guest artists. Entry is set at 10 euros. Over the entire festival, seven shows are offered.

Street art and street culture at La Guillotière

The Re(a)dorons la Guillotière association and Zoo Art Show are back this Saturday, October 12, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., for the Guillotière Street Show. An event around street art and street culture, during which several places in the Lyon district will be painted by a dozen artists from the Zoo Art Show collective. Food professionals will also be present around the works. A festive and colorful stroll is planned around the themes of Asia, Africa and the Orient. A breakdance battle is also organized on Place Gabriel-Péri.

Mâchon’Week, it’s almost over

The week of “good drinking and good eating in Lyon” is indeed back and continues until Saturday. A Closing party is organized on Saturday at In-sted, in the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon, with wine tastings on the program in the company of local winegrowers. Chefs Théo Sanchez and Rebecca Azoulay will also be there. Doors open at 5 p.m.

15 years of the Lumière Festival

The Lumière Festival returns for the fifteenth year. The opening night takes place this Saturday, October 12, before the festival resumes until next Sunday, October 20. The filmmaker Costa-Gravas, guest of honor, will be present from 6 p.m. at the Halle Tony Garnier. And also, this ceremony will notably mark the return of the film “Un Revenant” by Christian Jacques, screened at the opening. On Sunday, a family session is also planned at 3 p.m. with a giant session of the 12 works of Asterix at the Halle Tony Garnier.

Note that several films with Vanessa Paradis are scheduled, but also and above all, the actress will interact with the public, this Sunday, October 13, at 11 a.m., at Pathé Bellecour.
