What there is to know

  • The title holder, Romain Grégoire (Groupama-FDJ), is not at the start of this 68e edition of the 4 Days of Dunkirk. His runner-up last year, the Dane Kasper Asgreen (Soudal-Quick Step), is one of the favorites to win the general classification.
  • This first stage, 172 kilometers long between Dunkirk and Le Touquet, should end with a massive sprint. Four difficulties are on the program: Le Ventus d’Alembon, Preures, Esgrange and Bezinghem as well as three intermediate sprints in Licques, Zoteux and Frencq.
  • Among the favorites for victory, we find the French Arnaud Démare (Arkéa-B&B Hôtels) and Paul Penhoët (Groupama-FDJ), the Irish Sam Bennett (Decathlon-AG2R), the Germans John Degenkolb (Team DSM) and Pascal Ackermann (Israel-Premier Tech), but also the Northerner Samuel Leroux (Van Rysel-Roubaix) who could do well.
