Firefighters and police intervened Arras (Pas-de-Calais) this Saturday May 11, 2024 for a arson in commercial area. There facade of a store was hit after a dumpster fire. The perpetrators were arrested.

Three minors arrested

Firefighters arrived at 8:20 p.m. on site for a dumpster fire which was spreading to the facade of the the old Tom&Co store which closed its doors a few months ago. “Thanks to their rapid action, the fire was brought under control and reconnaissance was carried out on the facade and roof of the store,” specifies the Pas-de-Calais prefecture.

Witnesses at the scene were able to report to the police the escape of three people shortly after the fire broke out. “The police quickly arrested two of them near the scene. »

The accused, all minors, were placed in police custody. The third showed up at the police station with his parents a few hours later.
