Two days after the Doha meeting, the Catalan won the interclubs on Sunday with her club Montreuil. She passed a bar at 1.90 m before failing at 1.95 m.

Stopped at 1.84 m Friday evening, in Doha, during the third stage of the Diamond League 2024, Nawal Meniker found her standards, Sunday in Pontoise, during the interclubs. The Perpignanaise, graduated from Montreuil, took part in the high jump competition which she won by a large margin, jumping a bar at 1.90 m.

Far above, the Catalan, freshly returned from the United States, where she trains, started her competition when all her competitors stopped. By jumping her first bar at 1.80 m on her first attempt, she was assured of victory, since only Laurine Masset (Stade Bordelais athletics) had passed the previous bar, at 1.75 m. And the latter failed in all three of her attempts.

Meniker, in the process, passed 1.85 m and 1.90 m without problem. Before tackling a bar of 1.95 m, two centimeters above his personal best. If she failed in her three attempts, she returned to her standards from last year, a few weeks before the European Championships.

With a final result of 1.90 m, Nawal Meniker equals his second best performance of the season, behind the 1.92 m achieved in Tucson in April.
