This May 11, 2024, shortly after 8 p.m., two bikers from the CRS motorcycle unit of Rennes were hit by a motorist in Le Mans. The two men had come as reinforcements for the Motorcycle Grand Prix. Both were evacuated to hospital. One of them is in serious condition.

The two men from the Rennes motorcycle unit were called to strengthen the workforce for this weekend of the Motorcycle Grand Prix at Le Mans.

This May 11, 2024, around 8 p.m., while they were driving on Boulevard Nicolas Cugnot, they were hit by a motorist who was traveling in an SUV.

Both men were taken to hospital. If one of them suffers from minor injuries, the second suffers from multiple fractures without these days being in danger.

According to the first elements, the driver of the car believed that the traffic light was green, but, according to the Alliance Pollice union, the one which concerned her journey since she was about to turn, was red.

An investigation was opened to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
