The performing arts community is in mourning following the death of Marcel-Romain Thériault, a well-known actor and director in Acadia.

Marcel-Romain Thériault is well known for his numerous roles in theater and television.

For approximately 40 years, he has played in numerous productions of the Théâtre populaire d’Acadie, notably in Alden, against all odds. On television, he has, among other things, appeared in the series Beautiful Bay And At the valdrague.

The Pays de la Sagouine paid tribute to him in a Facebook publication on Saturday, saying he was deeply saddened by the departure of a friend and artist-collaborator.

We are grateful to have been able to share beautiful moments of creation with him as part of the 2022 production of Christmas dinner theaterwrote the Pays de la Sagouine.Marcel-Romain has greatly contributed to arts and culture in Acadia. His departure already leaves a big void.
