AN URGENT warning has been issued to the public after a local household staple has been recalled.

The move to recall the product was made over hygiene concerns.

For Gut Sake Lovely Leitrim Farm Fresh Raw Milk has been recalled due to hygiene concerns

The For Gut Sake Lovely Leitrim Farm Fresh Raw Milk is being recalled from retailers across the country.

The local milk product is being pulled after it was deemed there was hygiene concerns associated.

Retailers are requested to remove all batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said: “Customers are also advised not to consume any of the batches, applying to all batches and all expiry dates.

“For Gut Sake is recalling all batches of its Lovely Leitrim Farm Fresh Raw Milk due to concerns with hygiene controls during production. Recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale.”

This is not the only product being recalled this week as an urgent warning has been issued to Irish parents after a popular baby product.

The Britax Roemer Baby-Safe carrier is being recalled from stores around the country.

The popular baby brand pulled the product after it was deemed an injury risk to children.

Parents have been urged to stop using the infant carrier immediately.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has issued a recall notice for the affected infant carrier.

There are approximately 24 affected products across Ireland.

The warning said that handles on the product could damage and detach, which can pose a serious risk of injury to children.

The recall only relates to the BABY-SAFE 5Z2 product, not the BABY-SAFE plus II or the BABY-SAFE plus SHR II.

The barcode and batch number of the infant carriers posing a risk to children are unknown.

Stop using alert

To identify the Britax infant carriers not affected, the handle adjustment buttons on these products can be found at the top of the carrying handle.

Customers are urged to stop using the product immediately due to its risk to children.

All affected infant carriers will be replaced free of charge with a safe version of the product by the brand Britax.
