CAN-2025 qualifiers: start of Panthers preparation yesterday

AFTER a stopover of a few hours in Libreville, the Gabon Panthers, coming from (), arrived in Franceville on Monday around 11:30 p.m., before heading to Bongoville, their usual gathering place where they arrived around 2 morning hours.

Of the 23 summoned by national coach Thierry Mouyouma, 20 Panthers have been in Bongoville since Monday. Missing on arrival were Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Orphé Mbina and Alex Moucketou Moussounda. Which are expected in Franceville in the next few hours.

The Lesotho Crocodiles, trained by Serbian Veselin Jelusic, arrived yesterday Tuesday late afternoon at Mvengue airport.

Program side for the Panthers, yesterday was devoted in the morning to the obligatory weigh-in followed in the afternoon by the first training session. As a reminder, the Gabonese occupy second place in the general classification of Group B, tied on points (3) with the Central African Republic.

But advantage to Gabon which, despite an unfavorable goal average (-1), is ahead due to the victorious direct confrontation won (2-0) last month in Franceville.
