Dragon Ball Sparking Zero characters: How to unlock them and get all their outfits?

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is a generous title. Upon launch, players can enjoy two-thirds of its playable characters. However, there is still around a third to unlock and the game does not directly tell you how to get there. Don’t panic, we’ve listed the different ways to collect them here as well as their outfits.

Shop at the store, but…

The most obvious way to acquire characters in Sparking Zero is obviously to go to the store to buy them directly.. Right from the start, you’ll find a selection of characters, including the coveted Goku Ultra Instinct. To have more characters to buy in the store, you simply have to advance in episode mode for the offer to expand. Same thing for outfits that are unlocked in the store via story mode, before they can be purchased.

When it comes to recovering characters, this method has its limits, because you will quickly find yourself chasing zenis. Unfortunately for the outfits, you have no choice but to go through the store. Fortunately, we offer you solutions here to recover as many zenis as possible quickly. So, rather than spending money to buy characters, you also simply unlock them through different game modes as we will see.

Progress in episode mode

First of all, episode mode allows you to unlock characters by finishing fights and completing arcs. Often these characters are related to what you just did. For example, by completing the Cell arc with Gohan, you will unlock Bojack, because Gohan defeated him when he was a teenager, while Zamasu’s transformations are unlocked by advancing in Black Goku’s story mode.

Moreover, It is by completing Goku’s episode mode that you will unlock a large part of the characters to purchase in the store. In any case, you better complete episode mode for all characters. And if you’re having trouble, don’t hesitate to lower the difficulty and enable accessibility options to make your life easier.

Win world championships

Like any Dragon Ball fighting game, Sparking Zero allows you to participate in tournaments inspired by the manga and anime. We find their own rules. Beyond the pleasure of participating, these tournaments above all allow you to unlock characters linked to their adaptation in the anime. Here are some examples of the characters you can unlock by completing these tournaments:

Complete all 37 bonus fights

In Custom Battle mode, players can create their own story and share it online with other players. If we can’t wait to see all the possible creations, the developers have developed around thirty so-called “bonus” fights to show what their tool was capable of doing. The good news is that by completing a bonus fight that features a character you don’t have, you have a chance of getting it as well.i. Complete Zen’ô’s requests

Finally, the last solution to unlock characters is to complete Zen’ô’s requests. In this tab, you can see a small icon at the top left of the mission cards which shows you the rewards to obtain if you succeed. Sometimes it might be a character, but be careful not to confuse this icon with that of the character money titles which are obtained when you increase the mastery of a character. We tell you that, but normally, these titles only concern characters you already have, so if you have an icon of a character you don’t have, go for it!
