In a moment of poignant sincerity, the daughter of Marc Labrèche shares her thoughts on her mother not being there to see her own children: “I can’t believe my mother won’t see my children. Because I always wanted children.” She describes her mother as extraordinary: “I truly had an incredible mother!” The mother expresses the emotional void felt in the absence of maternal validation, regretting not having had her mother’s encouragement during important moments in her life, particularly motherhood: “I really would have liked to have had the hope of ‘ Hey, you’re doing this well! You’re correct!’”

She emphasizes the unique importance of maternal love, stating that there is nothing that can replace it: “But I think that a mother’s love, when you are lucky enough to have it and as I was lucky to have it, there’s nothing that can top that.” The actress also talks about the lasting emotional impact of losing her mother, revealing that she still feels the need to talk to her: “Sometimes I’m like… those are the only times I go ‘** **that I would call my mother! I need to talk to mom.’”

Despite her pain, Léane expresses her gratitude for the precious memories and love shared with her mother, in comparison with a less authentic relationship: “I prefer to be 16 years old with a mother who loves me, then who gives me everything what she can, than to spend a life with a relationship that is not human, honest, good. So I’m privileged, all the same.”
