The French striker officially announced, a few minutes earlier, his departure from PSG at the end of the season, in a message posted on social networks.

“I wanted to thank you. It’s not over yet because there is still a final (in the Coupe de France against Lyon, editor’s note). It was important to thank you for everything you have done for me and my family, not only for the sporting side but also for the human side”, declared the world champion.

“I think people don’t really realize what it’s like to play for PSG”

Before continuing: “It was important for me to come back here to Paris. To grow as a player and also as a man. The memories that I keep with the players are more the human memories. The emotions, all the atmospheres. These are the things that I want to remember, more than a goal. I was lucky to be part of this club. I think people don’t really realize what it’s like to play for PSG. For seven years I had the chance to savor every moment, because it’s easier, but also the bad. I would always like to say thank you but also say good luck. wish you the best for everything that is to come. For you and your families, we might see each other again one day… But in any case, thank you very much!

Kylian Mbappé was seated in the stands next to his brother, Ethan. Several hundred people had made the trip. In particular, there were a few smoke bombs going off in front of the stadium.
