The drama unfolded on the N7, in the immediate vicinity of the Zoo Club. Two people lost their lives, struck in the passenger compartment of their vehicle by a car arriving at high speed from Leuze. According to the first elements of the investigation, it was an Audi brand vehicle which hit a Peugeot in which the two victims were, French citizens born in 2000 and 2005. As for the suspect, he was quickly identified by investigators. “The driver who was driving an Audi was born in 1993 and lived in the Tournai region. He was probably traveling at very high speed, an element that the automobile expert will have to confirm“, indicated the public prosecutor on Thursday. The suspect was made available to an investigating judge, a few hours after the accident.

A little more than 24 hours after the events, we learned that an arrest warrant had been issued in connection with this accident with dramatic consequences. At this stage, the investigating judge does not communicate on the classification used against the driver. The person concerned should appear in council chambers next Tuesday.
