This Tuesday, May 7, Laure Boulleau was Mouloud Achour’s guest in Clique. The former professional footballer came there to present the new show in which she is participating, Au Micro!. In this football-style competition, she is one of the jurors who will decide which candidate will become the next voice of match commentary on Canal +. Very attached to her channel and her colleagues, the one who recently became a mother, delivered Click some secrets about the end of his sporting career and his mental health.

Laure Boulleau: “I almost burned my head.”

When asked about her “psychological scars“, Laure Boulleau looks back on a strange story that happened to her. “Two and a half to three years ago, I don’t know what happened, I couldn’t concentrate anymore, I had memory lapses, I started to panic. I’ve done shows where I felt like I was on autopilot, I was there without being there. (…) I was starting to tell myself that perhaps my days were numbered. My brain wasn’t like it used to be. I had trouble remembering the names of players, even well-known ones. The days after shows, I was exhausted. (…) In fact I was on the verge of burnout. And wanting to do everything well, without knowing how to say no I almost burned my head” explains the young woman.

Laure Boulleau: “I think it happens to a lot of people.”

Very worried about her state of health, Laure Boulleau consults all the specialists she can find. “I did all the head length and width examinations. I had symptoms of phew and there was nothing. I was becoming crazy. And so I consulted a neurologist whom I had already consulted for head trauma and who immediately told me what was wrong.” Fortunately for her, the doctor immediately made a diagnosis: burnout for which he prescribed medication. Reassured, Laure Boulleau was able to resume the course of her life, but she wanted to share this unfortunate experience: This is the first time I’ve talked about it in the media.. I think it happens to a lot of people” she said. She concludes with this sad chapter, hoping that her story will help some people to seek help.
