New details of the proposal accepted by Hamas

New details of the proposal accepted by Hamas were released today (Tuesday) and help to understand the significant gap between Israeli positions and those of the terrorist organization.

Hamas is talking about releasing 33 hostages initially, but it is not committing to ensuring that these hostages are alive. It is specified “release of 33 hostages, dead or alive” according to the category criteria: children, women, adults over 50 years old.

Furthermore, the terrorist organization undertakes to release three hostages per week from the 3rd day of the entry into force of the agreement while in the proposal made by Israel, there was question of the release of three hostages every all three days.

The ratio between released hostages and released Palestinian terrorists has also been revised upwards by Hamas. If in the original proposal it was planned that 20 prisoners would be released in exchange for each hostage, Hamas is now asking for 30 prisoners for each civilian hostage and 50 for each female soldier whereas previously it was 40.

In the agreement accepted by Hamas, Israel does not have a veto over the names of the terrorists who will be released and they cannot be exiled as Israel demands.

Finally, Hamas still demands a total end to the fighting, which Israel is not ready to accept.

The observation that Hamas attempted a bluff so that Israel takes on the role of the one who refuses the agreement is therefore confirmed.

In this context, the war cabinet sent a delegation composed of representatives of Mossad, Shabak and the IDF to Cairo. She has not been mandated to make concessions, nor to accept anything, but only to listen to what will be said around the negotiating table and ask questions.
