The Olympic flame will arrive this Wednesday, May 8 in the Marseille city. For the occasion, numerous activities are planned for May 9, alongside the relay.

Then, the town hall of the 15th and 16th arrondissements will take over with, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., sports entertainment stands and gourmet stands, a mobile climbing wall, a double dutch, scooters, a broadcast screen and surprise entertainment in the Grand car park Littoral.

There town hall of the 2nd and 3rd arrondissements will offer on Place de la Joliette, from 10:30 a.m., Capoeira, giant chess games, zumba and games for the whole family.

From 1 p.m., the town hall of the 4th and 5th arrondissements will have wooden games, exhibitions, the discovery of historical figures, theatrical activities and a large treasure hunt with small sporting challenges in Longchamp Park.

A carousel manufactured by the Sud Side workshops will be operational from 1:30 p.m., at Font Obscure park.

At the same time, the town hall of the 11th and 12th arrondissementswill organize from 2 p.m. at Moline Park French boxing, English boxing, archery, a medieval fencing village, taekwondo, rugby and break dancing.

The Marseillais will then meet from 2:30 p.m. in the Font Obscure park for a parade of flags created by the Marseillais.

Finally, a show of cheerleaders “Cheerdance Leader”, and batucada “Treize en Scope” will take place between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. near the Obelisk of Mazargues.
