In Avoine, this year, the real music festival will take place a week after June 21. For three days, from June 28 to 30around twenty artists will perform one after the other during Avoine Zone Groove.

And the least we can say is that the organizers have chosen a program with the aim of interest as many people as possible: “We will start with IAM. This group is still very popular with young people and will delight parents who will be able to take a step back thirty years. At the other end, Pascal Obispo, another artist known to all generations, will close the festival. Between the two, everyone will be able to find their way…

Our goal is to satisfy everyone’s desires with programming for the general public with more current touches,” says the town hall’s cultural department.

Culture accessible to all

The organizers’ desire is to unite as much as possible around this event where “we come with family and friends”.

“The guideline has always been the same: to allow everyone access to culture. This is why, alongside renowned artists, we offer numerous free concerts and events.”

And this philosophy has borne fruit since the small blues festival which attracted 300 people every day 25 years ago now sees 7,000 visitors per evening. “Families know that they can come in complete peace of mind with their children, the place is secure,” continue the organizers before specifying: “In addition to the concerts, we have street shows. This year, we will expand these free activities with a makeup workshop led by volunteers or an audio terminal allowing you to test music by bone conduction… it’s quite surprising.

To ensure the holding of this annual meeting, several hundred people are mobilized: “There are elected officials and their spouses, municipal agents who work all year round as well as around a hundred volunteers recruited by the town hall.

In addition, we can count on the presence of the USEAB which manages the bar and catering services, with more than 200 volunteers”, detail the organizers who note that this year, for the pleasure of festival-goers, a hot catering service will also be provided in the paying concert area.
