An information meeting to answer questions from the curious was organized this Wednesday, October 2, at the town hall, with Ecodigo, the service provider in charge of the negotiations.

Up to 250 euros in savings per year

For Silvy, green energy or not, it is above all an opportunity to buy peace of mind : “If we can’t get the supplier, we call the town hall and they manage all that. So it’s good to have a contact person who really answers your questions.” In 2019, it only provided its RIB to the town hall, which took care of the rest. According to the municipality, Silvy is far from being the only one to have benefited from cheaper energy during the 2019: “We had some 500 subscribers who had benefited from an average gain of €200 to €250 per year and per household.“.

For the past three years, the program had been shelved because the energy crisis reduced the interest in buying in groups. The town hall and its service provider, Ecodigo, then switched the subscription of the supplier chosen in 2019, OHM Énergie, to TotalEnergies, to avoid too large an increase in the electricity bill.

Open to residents and workers

For the start of the 2024 school year, nearly 360 people have already pre-registered for the group purchasing offerand it is open to everyone, even to people who work in Bourg-lès-Valence, without living there. And those who are not convinced by the prices offered after pre-registration can opt out free of charge. “They can disengage overnight, it’s just a click away. It’s as simple as pie. But that doesn’t happen, since with the service providers, we negotiate the best rates“, assures Marlène Mourier.

Silvy intends to convince those around her to lower the prices of her own subscription. Interested parties have until October 31 to pre-register free of charge.t*** and without commitment* from the town hall and they will have the price proposals during the month of November.
