Juventus beat Leipzig in a comeback thanks to a brace from Dusan Vlahovic and a final gem from Francisco Conceicao. Huge success for the Bianconeri. Thiago Motta’s team proved to be stronger than everything: the injuries to Gleison Bremer and Nico Gonzalez in the first minutes, the double disadvantage (a brace from Sesko) and the numerical inferiority at the start of the second half due to Michele Di Gregorio’s expulsion. What doesn’t happen in the first forty-five minutes can be seen at the beginning of the second half. Juventus enters the pitch with the same desire to control the game, but with more malice in the final metres. After the dress rehearsal with Koopmeiners (post after 3 minutes), here is Vlahovic’s equalizer. The Serbian, following a perfect cross from Cambiaso from the left, burns Orban and cools Gulacsi with a touch in front of goal. The draw wakes up Leipzig who, unlike the first half, push forward and in a few minutes first hit a post with Openda (the Belgian will also hit another in the final), then find themselves in numerical superiority (Di Gregorio exiting he touches the ball with his hands outside the area, an irregularity punished after the VAR check) and after twenty minutes he is back ahead with Sesko, glacial from the spot (penalty awarded for a handball by the substitute Douglas Luiz). Juventus again down and numerically inferior (without Bremer), as had never happened before in the season: game over? Vlahovic erases the risk again, with a crazy feat after just three minutes. The Serbian steals the ball in midfield and with the anger of a true bomber beats Gulacsi with a fantastic curling shot. The best way to revive Juventus and respond to Sesko. Mission accomplished because first Kalulu scores a near goal, saving a shot from Nusa, then Francisco Conceicao with a special slalom beats Nusa and finds a very heavy 3-2 for Juventus.
