This Saturday, May 4, Coline Devillard was crowned again at the end of the vault final during the 2024 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships which take place in Rimini, Italy.

A few weeks after winning gold on vault and silver on floor at the World Challenge Cup in Osijek, she confirmed her great form on her favorite apparatus by obtaining a score of 13.866.

Already titled in 2017 and 2022, Devillard spoke exclusively to after his new victory.

“I think this one is special, because it’s the year of the Games [Olympiques], obviously,” she declared with a big smile. “It also allows me to show that I assume my status, that I finally have my second consecutive medal, it’s my third gold on this apparatus too. So full of emotions and I’m not going to say that it’s the most beautiful individually, but I think it was the hardest to have. »

The rest of the podium is completed by the Bulgarian Valentina Georgieva and his young French compatriot Ming van Eijkenwho finished second in qualifying.

After taking the lead in the provisional ranking after the first two passages, the 16-year-old Frenchwoman was overtaken by Georgieva. But her bronze medal rewards a very good performance for the one who opened her senior European final, thanks to a moon with a twist and a half for her first jump, then a Tsukahara – back somersault with half twist, followed by a tendril reversed a turn and a half.

Devillardwho trains with the hurdler Ladji Doucouré to work on her run-up, presented herself in fifth position. After a magnificent first jump scored at 14,366 points, the tone was set. The big favorite of the day logically took the lead in the ranking, without being worried by her following competitors who finished behind the two French medalists.

A few minutes later, it’s his compatriot Marine Boyer who won a nice bronze medal on the balance beam.

Finally, during the last women’s final of the day with the Blue, Morgane Osyssek-Reimer And Ming van Eijken respectively finished 5e and 8e on the ground.
