A school bus collided with a car and a heavy goods vehicle this Wednesday, October 2, around Pouillon, in the Landes. The accident left five injured, including three high school students who were inside the bus.

This Wednesday, October 2, a school bus transporting high school students collided with a car and a heavy goods vehicle, on the RD22, near Pouillon in the Landes.
On site, a team from Dax SMUR as well as 10 fire engines from the department and six gendarmes took care of the occupants of the bus, truck and vehicle. In total, twelve people were physically or psychologically affected. Among them, three adults and two high school students were evacuated, in relative emergency, to the Dax University Hospital.
The Landes prefecture also announced the establishment of a psychological unit for anyone who feels the need.
The departmental road is currently cut in both directions. A replacement bus was dispatched to provide care for the high school students on site.
Two diversions have also been put in place, by Bénesse, Cagnotte, Peyrehorade, Labatut, Habas and Mission for the north-south axis, and by Labatut, Habas then Mission for the south-north axis.
