Devillard, who had the best result during qualifying on Thursday, won his third continental crown, in vault, after those of 2017 and 2023.

Three more medal chances

Ming Gherardi van Eijken, who celebrated his 16th birthday a month ago, is participating in his first senior Euros.

Devillard is one of the centerpieces of the French team which qualified for the Olympic Games this summer (July 26 – August 11) by winning the team bronze medal at the World Championships in October in Antwerp ( Belgium).

There remain three individual medal chances on Saturday in Rimini with Marine Boyer on beam, Morgane Osyssek and Ming Gherardi van Eijken on floor.

On Sunday, the French team will try to get on the podium in the team event.
