Since the start of the week, it has no longer been possible to take a train between Givors and Lyon Perrache. Traffic will finally resume this Monday morning after several days of interruption.
Last Sunday, bad weather caused a landslide and then the derailment of a Firminy-Lyon train near Grigny le Sablon. An assessment was subsequently carried out to analyze the causes of this slope sliding on the railway line. A normal resumption of traffic was initially planned for this Saturday. We’ll have to wait a little longer…
“Thanks to the mobilization of the SNCF Réseau teams who carried out the track rehabilitation work, traffic will be able to resume Monday May 6 morning between Givors and Lyon Perrache“, indicates the SNCF this Friday morning on X (formerly Twitter).
Passengers on the line are still invited until the end of the weekend to take the TER between Saint-Etienne and Lyon Part-Dieu or the regular TCL bus lines between Vernaison and Lyon.
