Come and enjoy a unique artistic experience at Château de la Forêt

As part of her artistic residency at Château de la Forêt, Kathryn Marshall invites you to participate in choreographic workshops open to all, from May 15 to 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The artist and dancer Kathryn Marshall offers a workshop at Château de la Forêt, open to all, aiming to explore letting go through movement, music and light.

Grounded in his site-specific artistic practice, the workshop includes meditative and playful exercises to encourage participants to create an imaginative and choreographic narrative from their environment. Using somatic techniques, participants learn to channel music and light in real time, while exploring new ways to connect with themselves and others through shadow play.

From May 15 to 18

  • Wednesday to Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (doors open to the public at 6 p.m.)

Who is Kathryn Marshall?

Kathryn Marshall, born in New York, graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy and performed at the Center Pompidou.

His artistic residency, supported by the City and the department of Seine-Saint-Denis, was presented to the public on March 11 at the Château de la Forêt. During the first stage of this project, Kathryn Marshall carried out archival research and examined life at Forest Castle. Then on March 23 she unveiled a public performance in the form of a guided tour filled with humor and inventiveness to present this place in a new light.
