AlloCiné: You took over the role of Jack in “The Young and the Restless” on November 27, 1989 in the United States. How was your first day on set?
Peter Bergman : I was reprising the role previously played by Terry Lester. When I arrived, everyone on set already knew more about Jack Abbott than I did! It was very intimidating… The team members couldn’t wait to tell me everything but I had to stay focused not to listen to them, in order to find my own Jack on the first day.
Did you imagine at the time that you would still be in the credits of the soap opera several decades later?
