For 42 years now, May 1st has been synonymous with tournaments in Pouyastruc. And for several years, to the Pascval Daverède Challenge (for the U10s) have been added the Cazalet challenge (M8), the Rémi Nicolau fair play challenge or the Daniel Sentubery super challenge (cumulative points between the tournament organized at Pouyastruc and that for the M12 and M14 of Stade Bagnérais) or the Bernard Lapasset challenge (club with the most girls).

Suffice it to say that once again, despite the rain and mud coming to the party, this 2024 edition will have been a great success for the clubs, but also for the volunteers who take care of the little ones. , like the biggest.

More than 2000 kids on the pitch

Coming from Bigorre, Gers, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Landes, Haute-Garonne or even much further afield, there were no less than 1,200 M8 and M10 kids on the grounds of USC Pouyastruc, to compete, under a fine drizzle, the challenges of this 2024 edition, when there were a little more than 800 on the Bagnères side for the M12 and M14.

And if the rain came to disrupt the “party” until the finals, what does it matter, everyone deserves their rewards, and for sure, they will come back next year.
