Here is a selection of activities to do alone, with family or friends, from Thursday May 2 to Sunday May 5, in Corrèze.
Brave the rain to get some fresh air, dance, laugh, learn… This first weekend in May promises to be full of events in Corrèze. To help you see things a little more clearly, here are our favorites and some ideas for outings.
1. In Voutezac, at the origin of the world, a garden
In the Bible, one of the stories of the creation of the world begins in the lush vegetation of the Garden of Eden. This Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., on its Plant Campus, the Voutezac horticulture and landscape high school invites you to celebrate nature and the garden through its second festival, Ô jardin, whose theme is chosen for this year is The Origin of the World.
The strong point of this event which combines culture with horticulture: during a free or guided artistic journey through the gardens, you can stroll and admire fifteen creations created by the pupils, students and apprentices of this venerable establishment supported by their teachers and the Paysagistes sans frontières collective.The origin of the world is the theme of the second edition of Ô jardin. At 10 a.m., visitors will be invited to participate in the water fresco, a workshop on building the water cycle to understand the challenges of its preservation. At 11:15 a.m., Pop’s circus show, a juggling duo, is scheduled. From 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., we can learn about the music of the origins, with the Passeur de notes. At 3 p.m., in the gardens, a choreographic stroll will be offered by the Movimentum Company of Marie Artaud. At 4 p.m., musical readings will take place to the sound of Cristal Baschet, before a concert scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Refreshment bar and snacks on site. Exhibitions, wooden games for children.
2. Municipalities take their destiny in hand in BriveThe Knights of the Gall present their new show, “La Revanche”.
The famous leaf brigade, made up of Christian Sanchez and Gilbert Lavergne, is back! The two municipal agents played by the Knights of Fiel will be on stage at the Espace des Trois-Provinces in Brive, this Friday, May 3 at 8:30 p.m., in their brand new show The payback. Love, union meetings, deadly aperitifs, surprises, suspense and huge bursts of laughter: the municipal people take their destiny in hand to become what no one could have imagined.

4. Go karting on ice in BriveElectric kart races on ice are offered this Sunday at the Brive Ice Rink.

5. A love story with the four Molières
The play “Oublie-moi” will be presented by the Atelier Théâtre Actuel, at the Sophie-Dessus auditorium, Saturday May 4 at 8:30 p.m. A love story with the four Molières. Tickets available at auditorium.uzerche.fr or 05.55.73.00.44 (€20, €14).
6. Glass with Tulle ImprintTana Quartet performs at the Tulle theater.
Exceptional evening, Friday May 3 at 8 p.m., at the Tulle theater. At the invitation of the Empreinte-Scène nationale, the string ensemble (violins, viola, cello) Tana Quartet takes on King Lear, a new string quartet by the American composer Philip Glass based on the repertoire of Franz Schubert, of which he is a fervent connoisseur. But not only. Echoing this score, emblematic of its repetitive style, the quartet will open the evening with Entr’acte, by Caroline Shaw, an American contemporary music genre, and will close it with The Young Girl and the Death of Schubert. 7. An aperitif in a remarkable arboretum

ARNAC-POMPADOUR. 23rd Plant Festival. Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Organized by the Jardins de la Marquise association, on the racecourse. Presence of 60 participants and seven exhibitors in vegetable plants, nurserymen, several craftsmen in decoration and garden furniture will offer: pottery, porcelain flowers, wild basketry nest boxes, iron furniture… For adults, a floral workshop is offered with the possibility of leaving with its composition. Children will be able to participate in a kite workshop and a treasure hunt with a reward. An exhibition of ornamental poultry as well as a pruning session is also offered. A conference over the two days will be held at 3 p.m., in the room located under the stands of the racecourse, hosted by Bernadette Prieur, passionate about permaculture.
