Heavy : flooding in the Pays d’Auge

Firefighters and police are at work on Thursday May 2, 2024 in the Pays d’Auge. The heavy rains falling on caused flooding in Livarot Pays d’Auge (). The life overflows. In the early morning, around ten apartments in the Jean Lebertre residence had to be evacuated.

The town hall opens the village hall

The residents were welcomed by relatives or at the community hall, opened for the occasion by the municipality. According to the town hall, The life had not experienced such a flood since 2018.

The water level has started to drop since around 8am. But help remains on site.

Calvados firefighters also intervened in Saint-Pierre-en-Auge and .

Several rivers in Calvados are placed on flood alert: La Touques, Orbiquet and Calonne are on orange alert, Dives and Orne are on yellow alert.
