The Prix de Houx was won yesterday afternoon by a youngster from TC Linas Montlhéry, Jules Simon.
As a joke, after arrival, we heard: “President Destouches will not bring out the champagne, once again!” » His men nevertheless animated the event, but Quentin Du Mouza (2 e ) and Nicolas Bourgault (3 e ) were beaten on the line by the young Jules Simon (TC Linas Montlhéry), one of the favorites for the event (13 laps of 8.4 km).
The race was run almost without a drop of rain, unlike the youth races in the morning. Numerous punctures were recorded and a few skirmishes shook the peloton. Three riders took the lead: Chatelet (team Peltrax), Lebeau (Orléans) and Guillaume (Linas Montlhéry).
At mid-race, the trio was joined by Boizet (Aulnay), Waterlot (Linas Montlhéry) and Nicolas Bourgault (C’Chartres Cyclisme). The latter received reinforcement in the person of Quentin Du Mouza. At the bell, around ten couriers could claim victory. Everything was decided during the climb towards the finish line: faster, the Essonnian Simon topped the two Chartrains.
