A heartbreaking letter, a few days after the tragedy. The father of Matisse, a teenager stabbed to death last weekend in Châteauroux, published a poignant missive in memory of his son on the social network Facebook this Tuesday, April 30.

In these few lines, Christophe Marchais addresses his son: “You didn’t deserve that. No one deserves this, but especially not you.” “You were a real nice guy, too nice in fact, who didn’t have the weapons for these associations that had attracted you for several weeks…”, he wrote.

Also, the victim’s father recalls “15 wonderful years spent” alongside his son. For him, “choosing hatred and anger”, “legitimate” options in his eyes, “would lower us to the level of the two monsters who coldly murdered you? No, Matou, because we are not animals and that would be so unlike you! » “I will live for you and I will laugh in your memory,” he promises.

A sea otter, in homage to his son

Christophe Marchais finally calls on those who want to pay tribute to his son on social networks to put “a sea otter in profile” in reference to his nickname, rather than “this big black pellet”. And to conclude: “Here is my cat, this little note to tell you I love you, to tell parents to watch their children, because life is fragile, and I will miss you forever.”

A white march on Saturday

A white march in memory of the teenager is organized this Saturday, May 4 in Châteauroux. The gathering should “pass in front of the establishments that mattered to Matisse: his school, his house, his parents’ restaurant and the one in which he worked,” according to the city’s mayor Gil Avérous.
