According to the bar owner, interviewed by our colleagues from Télégramme, the scene was extremely violent. Chairs, tables and bottles of alcohol thrown at the heads of supporters, insults in all directions… The episode marked the manager of the owner of the bar Le Monroe, in the heart of Lorient, Place Jules Ferry.

The scene takes place during the night from Friday to Saturday. After the match between FCL and AC Ajaccio, around twenty Corsican supporters sat at the Le Monroe bar, while police officers stood nearby. Shortly after 1 a.m., the police left the scene, thinking that the Lorient supporters, for their part, were no longer in the area.
It was at that moment that dozens of ultras, several of them hooded, arrived on the terrace of the Monroe, ready to do battle. The fight continues inside the bar. Showcases, tables, chairs and DJ decks are broken. Questioned by our colleagues from Le Télégramme, the manager of the Monroe estimated the damage “between 5,000 and 1,000 euros”.

The police returned around twenty minutes later, without being able to arrest the troublemakers. Despite traces of blood found at the scene, no injuries were reported.

The Lorient police, who had brought in reinforcements from for the risky match, FCL against AC Ajaccio, indicated that they were conducting an investigation into these events.
