Gas prices on the rise

As at the start of every month, a certain number of economic indicators change. Thus, on May 1, the average benchmark price of gas will increase by 1.4%. Or from €109.71/MWh to €111.19/MWh. “This increase is explained by a slight increase in wholesale market prices of natural gas, which had been falling since the end of 2023,” underlines the Energy Regulatory .

€100 to pay to use your CPF

A priori

, the government will change the rules concerning the Personal Training Account: you will now have to pay €100 to benefit from training eligible for the CPF. Job seekers and employees for whom the employer or another entity participates in the payment of the training will be exempt. This lump sum may be “revalued each year” following inflation.

End of registration on the electoral lists

May 1 will mark the end of online registration on the electoral lists for the European elections, organized on June 9. For registrations at the town hall, this closing date has been postponed to May 3.

The bonus for hiring apprentices or employees under professionalization contracts under the age of 30 will end on May 1. This bonus, of €6,000, created to encourage the hiring of young people the crisis, had been extended several times. “In view of growth forecasts and the increase in the public deficit (5.5% of GDP in 2023), measures to reduce the State budget have been decided on certain measures relating in particular to the field of employment and of professional training”, justifies the decree. However, hiring assistance persists for the recruitment of apprentices in initial training.

Flat rate contribution doubles on health costs After the doubling of the deductible on medicines on March 31, it is the fixed contribution on medical consultations which will increase. The measure will not come into force on May 1st, but on the 15th: the remaining charge will increase from €1 to €2. Whether for a consultation or examinations (biological, radiological, etc.), the patient will have to pay €2, an amount which will neither be reimbursed by Health Insurance nor by supplementary insurance. This new fixed contribution cannot, however, exceed €50 per year and per person.

Some exceptions: pregnant women from the 6th month of pregnancy, beneficiaries of Supplementary Solidarity Health or State Medical Aid and minors will not be affected by this flat-rate contribution.

The conditions of MaPrimeRénov’ relaxed

Also from May 15, the terms and conditions for awarding MaPrimeRénov’ will be relaxed. Houses classified F and G will be able to benefit from aid for their renovation. And it will no longer be necessary to provide an Energy Performance Diagnosis (EPD) to access the route aids “by gesture”. A single renovation gesture will now also allow you to receive this aid. Finally, from May 15, future owners will be able to anticipate their MaPrimeRénov’ request by sending the sales agreement to begin their file. The presentation of a title deed will nevertheless remain mandatory to finalize the request.
