On the night of Thursday April 25 to Friday April 26, 2024, around fifteen posters were posted by the October 7 Collective, created in the wake of the Hamas attack against Israel, on the town hall of Trouville-sur- Sea (Calvados) and the roundabout, at the entrance to Boulevard Fernand-Moureaux. These posters represented the faces of some of the hostages held by the terrorist movement since the attack on October 7, 2023. They were removed by municipal services and the town hall announced that it would file a complaint.
