We are there. Seasonal diseases and viruses are making a comeback at the start of autumn. On October 15, the vaccination campaign against influenza and Covid-19 will begin. And for good reason, the virus that appeared at the end of 2019 presents a new variant.
Named XEC, it could become one of the main viruses this winter. Its symptoms are quite similar to those already known: sore throat, cough, fever, headache and loss of taste and/or smell.
In the event of contamination, the recommendations are the same: ventilate your home, warn people likely to be in contact, favor teleworking and of course consult your doctor.
Currently available and recently updated vaccines are designed to provide protection against this new variant of XEC.
